Frequently Asked

About RV Country

  • We have 12 locations across the western United States — Buckley, Fife, Mt. Vernon, and Sequim in Washington; Coburg, Klamath Falls, and Tualatin in Oregon; Fresno in California; Laughlin and Sparks in Nevada; and Flagstaff and Mesa in Arizona. See all locations.
  • We’re factory-authorized for top names including Forest River, Grand Design, Keystone, Thor, Tiffin, Entegra, Dutchmen, Holiday Rambler, East-to-West, Ember, Genesis, Modern Buggy, and Sunset Park. New, used, and pre-owned inventory rotates daily — browse current inventory.
  • Yes. We work with multiple lenders to find competitive rates and terms. You can submit a full credit application online, or use our no-SSN pre-qualification to see what you may qualify for without affecting your credit score.
  • Both. Get a free instant valuation with What’s My RV Worth?, let us buy it outright through Sell My RV, or list it with us through consignment.
  • Every RV Country location has a full-service department staffed by certified RV technicians who handle every make and model — annual roof inspections, slide-out adjustments, electrical and plumbing diagnostics, appliance repair, and warranty work. Three locations (Buckley, Coburg, and Fresno) also operate full collision centers for body and structural repair.
  • Priority RV Advantage is a national network of trusted dealers that gives RV Country customers priority service when traveling — no matter where in the country you break down or need warranty work, member dealers move you to the front of the line. Learn more.
  • Absolutely. Most units on our lot have a video walkthrough — see them in our RV Video Gallery. You can also call any location for a live FaceTime walkaround with a salesperson.

RV Basics

  • Class A motorhomes are the largest — bus-style coaches built on a heavy-duty chassis (gas or diesel), perfect for full-timers and long trips. Class B — also called camper vans — are the smallest, built on a Sprinter or ProMaster van platform, easy to park, and great for weekenders. Class C sit in between, built on a truck or van chassis with a cab-over sleeping area; they offer Class-A-level space without the size or learning curve.
  • Both are towable. A travel trailer hitches to a standard ball mount on the rear of your tow vehicle and can be pulled by SUVs, half-tons, or three-quarter-ton trucks. A fifth wheel uses a kingpin hitch mounted in the bed of a pickup, which puts more weight on the truck’s axle and allows much larger floorplans (often two-story with a dedicated bedroom over the truck) — but it requires a compatible pickup.
  • Your tow capacity comes from your vehicle manufacturer — but it’s not just one number. Tongue/pin weight, payload, GVWR, and GCWR all matter. We built an interactive widget that matches your specific year/make/model to the RVs you can safely tow: use our Tow Guide. Always confirm with your vehicle’s manufacturer before purchasing.
  • GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is the maximum weight a vehicle or RV is rated to carry — including fuel, water, propane, passengers, cargo, and accessories. Exceeding it stresses brakes, tires, axles, and suspension and can void warranties. Always weigh fully loaded and stay under both your RV’s GVWR and your tow vehicle’s combined rating (GCWR).
  • In most U.S. states, a standard non-commercial driver’s license is sufficient for any RV under 26,000 lbs GVWR — which covers nearly every Class B, Class C, fifth wheel, and travel trailer setup. Some larger Class A motorhomes and a few states (e.g. Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Maryland) have CDL or non-commercial Class B requirements above certain weights. Check your state DMV before you buy a big rig.
  • At minimum: annual roof and seal inspection (water intrusion is the #1 RV killer), wheel-bearing service every 12,000 miles or yearly, and battery checks each season. Motorized RVs need standard chassis maintenance plus generator service every 100–150 run-hours. Our service teams can put your rig on a maintenance schedule — schedule service at any of our 12 locations.
  • Similar in process but different in terms. RV loans typically run longer (10–20 years vs. 5–7 for cars) because of the higher purchase price, and rates depend on the unit’s age, your credit, and the loan size. Interest may also be tax-deductible if the RV qualifies as a second home (consult your CPA). Our finance team finds the right structure for your budget — apply here.
  • Yes — pre-owned units are a big part of our inventory and a great way to step into RVing at a lower price point. Each used RV is inspected by our service team before listing. Browse pre-owned inventory.
