The Top 100 Campgrounds in America

We thought it would be interesting to ask the question, “What makes a campground great for you?”. With all different kinds of people, using all different kinds of Recreational Vehicles, and traveling for all different kinds of reasons,  you’re bound to get a vast array of answers. For some, we heard that it matters most to have nice restroom/bathing facilities with ample hot water (this was a big one), somewhere other than the floor to set your shampoo and soap, and floor drains that don’t leave you standing in a lake of shower water. For others who bathe in their RV, that may be completely irrelevant. What matters most may be large, pull through sites, free of trees that drop sap and debris and block satellite usage. We learned that almost no one wants to be near noisy highways or freeways, so maybe somewhere a little out of town in a quieter area is what matters most to you. Some RV parks pack you in like rows of sardines, neighbor upon neighbor with no hope of any privacy, while others still are more spread out and offer a little breathing room. There is no doubt that it takes some trial and error to learn what you love and what you do not love when staying at a campground, and it’s definitely not the same for everyone. The folks over at tripleblaze.com have compiled a HUGE Top 100 list of the best and most popular campsites in the country using their “unique campsite popularity algorithm that accounts for the average rating and number of reviews for a campground, the number of people who have camped or wish they could camp at that campground”. There’s a little something for everyone here, and with so many to choose from, there’s no doubt you’ll find one pretty close to your neck of the woods. Where have you traveled in your RV?
