Washington State Motorhome Tax
Increase Coming Soon!

Starting January 1, 2026, Washington will implement the highest motorhome tax in the nation.

What’s Changing:

An additional 8% tax applies to RVs over 10,000 lbs.
The tax applies only to the portion above $100,000 of the sale price.
Applies to motorhomes and towables — both are considered RVs under this law.

Example:

If you buy a $200,000 RV, you’ll pay 8% on $100,000 = $8,000 extra in tax.
That’s money you could save by buying before January 1, 2026.
