As the warm summer sun and treats to beat the heat are slowly replaced by the brisk mornings and pumpkin spice-everything we want to remind you that the “fun” doesn’t have to end, just because of the seasons! There is still plenty of time to make memories in your new or used RV before the snow hits – check out some of these fun RV activities for this fall!
Find the Fall Colors
Red and orange leaves are notably one of the best indicators of the changing seasons. In fact, people flock from all over the world just to see this beautiful process take place, specifically in picturesque places like New England that are well known to put on a spectacular show.
Pack up your RV and hit the road to hunt for the best fall colors you can find. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture those quintessential fall moments for your Instagram feed.
Bucket List
It’s not too late to cross items off your summer bucket list; go visit the Grand Canyon or check out a new uncharted campsite. Make the most of the fleeting long days and squeeze all that’s left out of them- it is now or never! Pack your bags and set your GPS for “adventure.” As far as we are concerned it is still summer until the last leaf falls… but don’t hesitate, winter will be here before you know it. You can also create a “Fall” bucket list and include items like apple picking and corn mazes to help ease into the new season.
Fishin’ Mission
You may need to bundle up a bit more than in the summer months, but fall fishing can be some of the best! Due to the water changing temperatures, fish like the yummy yellow Perch and Bluegill move into the shallows to feed on schools of small bait fish.
Now is the time to venture to new waters and test out new bait or break in a new pole, so next summer you will be dialed in. Grab a couple of cold ones (or hot coffee) and kick it waterside with your best buds, as long as the fish are biting there is fun to be had!
One Last Hallo-Weekend
If the chill is really starting to set in and you are ready to pack up the summer fun, host one last “Hallo-weekend”! Celebrate the summer memories and play into the holiday fun by hosting a spooktacular weekend with friends around the campfire, sharing scary stories and trick-or-treats! Bonus points if you dress in costume and host a spooky fashion show under the stars.
Plan for Next Year…
It was a great summer, but what if we told you it could be better? That’s right, grab your notepads and road maps because it’s time to plan how to make next year the best summer ever! Plan a big trip, or multiple small ones. Make a goal to go outside daily, or try something new. The opportunities to improve your summer experience are endless! Start a list with your friends and family so next year you are ready to go wherever the road takes you. While planning out the fun, don’t forget to do preventative maintenance on your RV to keep the fun rolling. Contact an RV Country service department near you to schedule a time to visit.
