Halloween at The RV Park Can be Spooktacular!

halloween rv park decoration game recipe ideas With Halloween just a week and a half away, festivities are getting under way at many RV parks across the country. Full time RV’ers, and those trying to get in that last family trip before winter may not know what to expect at RV parks when setting up camp during this spooky holiday. Well, if you’re a Halloween lover or you have little ones, this is a great time to get festive and join in the fun!  Many RV parks really make a fuss about creating a fun atmosphere and making your Halloween on the road as great, if not better than a Halloween at home. Just because you’re in your RV doesn’t mean you can’t decorate and party just as you would in a stick home. You can make your site just as fun and freaky as you want, and you can do it very inexpensively with minimal amount of “stuff” to store when it’s over. Stringing up inexpensive Halloween lights lets people know straight away that you’re here for the fun and they are welcom to knock on your door. You can string bits of spider webbing, set out some pumpkins (carved, painted, or not!), and voila! You’re in on the action. Local thrift stores are always a great place to put together inexpensive costumes, and your imagination is the only limit. If you don’t want to hassle with storing those items when the holiday has passed, you can simply donate them right back to the thrift store. Make sure you have plenty of goodies on hand for any of the little trick or treaters that may be roaming from coach to coach in the RV park, and that means grab a bag of candy at the store, or if you really want to impress, you can click here for some fun and frightful Halloween recipes. Your RV park may or may not have a whole host of games and activities planned. If they don’t, you may want to plan some fun of your own and invite the neighbors to come play. It can be as simple as bobbing for apples, reaching your hand into “mystery boxes” full of ooey-gooey guts, or pin the nose on the jack o’lantern. You can get several small pumpkins and some inexpensive washable paints and have a pumpkin painting contest. Number the pumpkins and invite the whole RV park to come vote for their favorite. The winner can win a giant candy bar, or a crisp ten dollar bill… Whatever your choose!  Gather up the whole park and invite everyone to come sit around a campfire for some spooky ghost stories. The sky is the limit when it comes to games and ideas! Celebrating on the road doesn’t have to be a hassle and it doesn’t have to be expensive. Creativity and enthusiasm will take you all the way. The joy is in creating a fun and safe Halloween that you’ll all remember forever.
