When you’re living the RV lifestyle, you’re always looking for the latest news, information, tips, tricks, recipes, and all things RV. There are many resources out there, including clubs, newsletters, and of course, blogs. There are blogs written by dealers (Hello!), blogs written by clubs, blogs written by full-timers, blogs written by newbies, and the list goes on and on and on. We say, read them all! You never know what little nugget of inspiration or fabulous tip you’re going to learn. One of our new favorite blogs, is the one that was just recently started by KOA. You’ll definitely want to subscribe to thier new blog, called The Greater Outdoors. This blog promises to be one filled with useful information and plenty of fun. Their website says this about the new blog: “At KOA, we’ve always been big believers in making sure everything’s taken care of — clearing the way for your whole family and all your friends to connect, engage, enjoy and have the most fun you’ve ever had in the great outdoors. We know a big factor in having fun is making that part of the trip before you ever get here (the planning) as inspirational and as easy as it can possibly be. With that in mind, we’re excited to introduce KOA’s new blog: The Greater Outdoors. Just like you, we have a heightened expectation for what the outdoors can and should deliver at KOA. Through this new blog, you’ll get everything you need to dream, plan and go on great(er) outdoor adventures with the people you love.” The website goes on to say that with this blog you can expect more tips, tricks recipes, real-time updates, photos, input from experts, a sense of camraderie with fellow campers and outdoor enthusiasts as well as contests and giveaways! KOA’s VP of Marketing, Toby Hedges said in a press release, ““We’ve always tried to provide our campers with the best camping information possible via our KOA Kompass website and monthly email newsletters, but we feel The Greater Outdoors blog takes things to a different level…The new blog will be much more dynamic, with fresh content pouring in continuously, instead of just once a month,” Hedges said. “We think campers will want to check back often to keep up with the latest in RV tips and tricks from our experts, fun and easy camping recipes and also interact with us and each other.” Along with the launch of the new blog, KOA is also introducing a new online feature called “campstagram”. If you’re an Instagram user already, be sure to follow them at @kampgroundsofamerica, then just share your camping photos using the hashtag #KOA or #KAMPING. They will collect and share the best photos on their campstagram page.
