The NPS website includes the following:
Ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape. An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., spawning five major rivers. Subalpine wildflower meadows ring the icy volcano while ancient forest cloaks Mount Rainier’s lower slopes. Wildlife abounds in the park’s ecosystems. A lifetime of discovery awaits.

You can check out the winter hiking trails, skiing and sledding areas, and other winter recreational activities here, and other options in case you go back in the spring, here.
Camping at the Park
Mount Rainier National Park has several campgrounds with specific seasons, which you can learn more about here. If the campgrounds are closed over your intended visiting dates, don’t fret! There are many campgrounds located just outside the park (a quick internet search will yield plenty of returns!). Wherever you stay, you’ll love returning to your RV and kicking on the fireplace in the living room and gathering in with a cup of hot tea and a good book.
